Snuggle Bundle
Notes
Fsc – foundation single crochet
Ch - chain
Sc – single crochet
Dc – double crochet
St – stitch
Fphdc – front post half double crochet
Scblo – single crochet back loops only
This pattern is worked in vertical rows and then joined half way up the cocoon using slip stitch. The bottom is then cinched shut and buttons added. The 5 single crochet at the beginning of each even row, and end of each odd row create a narrower bottom for the cocoon and make it lay smoother once cinched shut. For Row 2 and each fphdc row following, the ch 2 at the beginning of the row counts as a stitch. For all other rows the turn chain does not count as a stitch. Stitch count is not included at the end of each row, but every row should have 43 stitches.
NOTE: to crochet in “third loop” of sc (at the end of Row 3, Row 7 and each respective row repeating) find the bar created beneath the ‘v’ you would usually crochet into.
NOTE: to crochet in the “third loop” of hdc (Row 4, Row 8 and each respective row repeating) find the loop behind the hdc stitch created by the “yarn over” of the hdc.
